About this file

This document is an Addendum (No. 1) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for Project F2037, Financial Project Number 44997665201, concerning the design and construction of a 44' x 176' Equipment Canopy at the District 2 - Gainesville Operations facility. The addendum provides clarifications to prospective bidders, confirming that the project involves a metal building with an open bay design, a minimum 16' side height, and 20' eaves, and will connect to an existing shop. The document specifies that no new electrical or plumbing installations are required, though existing utilities conflicting with the project may need to be protected or replaced, and potential modifications to the existing concrete slab might be necessary to accommodate building support footers.

The addendum does not detail specific pricing terms or funding sources, but it indicates that the project will be completed in accordance with the 2023 Florida Building Code and all applicable regulations. Bidders are required to sign and return the addendum to acknowledge receipt, and the document suggests that interested contractors must be Certified General Contractors with experience in similar commercial projects. The bid documents will be available until June 3, 2025, with a public bid opening scheduled for June 4, 2025, at the Lake City District Office. The FDOT encourages minority business enterprise participation and provides opportunities for both certified and non-certified minority businesses to compete for the contract.
