About this file

This document appears to be a set of Questions and Answers related to a federal contract opportunity for a Security Forces Interview Room Upgrade. The key details are:

The Air Force requires a digital recording system for two interview rooms, with one camera and microphone per room. The system must allow the interviewer to covertly start and stop recordings, have 4TB of storage, and include a dedicated computer workstation. It must also include an "in use" sign, the ability to digitally flag recordings, wall switches to start/stop recordings, and DVD/CD burning capabilities. Installation, training, a 3-year hardware warranty, and 5 years of annual maintenance/licensing are required. The system will be stand-alone but must be compatible with the Air Force network. The anticipated installation is 90 days after award, and payment will be 30 days after invoice approval. There are no restrictions on PCs/laptops, no need for an Air Force image, and a computer technician will be available to assist with software installation.

QuestionsAnswers.
Are there any specific restrictions or requirements for PCs or laptops connected to the Air Force Network that should be considered during the installation? No, none of the PCs wille be connected to the Air Force Network.
Will the system need to arrive before installation so the Air Force image can be installed? If so, how many days will the team need to prepare the workstation? No the System will not be connected to the Airforce Network therefore requiring no Air Force image.
Due to the restrictions on installing third-party software, will a Computer Systems Technician (CST)/Administrator be on site to assist with vendor software installation?Yes
What is the current system being used?Honeywell
Do you have an anticipated date for the installation?Estimated 90 days after award.
The RFP states the need for a “DVD/Blu-ray burner”. Is Blu-ray required? (Or is it assumed to be better for this application since it’s newer technology? Blu-ray authoring isn’t intended for this type of content.)No Blu-Ray Required, we just need DVD burning capability within the main system.
Can a traditional work desk replace the shelves at the workstation? The requested solution includes a keyboard and mouse which would be difficult to use on the existing shelving setup. Ideally, the user(s) would sit at the workstation. Would such a desk/table be procured and installed by the Client or Contractor?Yes we can provide a workstation
Is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) required for any of the additional (3) displays? No
Do you need a dedicated 2-outlet electrical receptacle behind each display to power the display? This would eliminate the display’s power cable spanning down from the display to a standard-height outlet. No we already have power supply capability at the display sites.
There are currently two (2) pairs of computer speakers setup at the existing workstation. Are you requesting an additional pair?Yes. And this is the only display which needs speakers (producing sound from the interview rooms).
Do you need all the power, data, and AV cables cleaned up behind the workstation?Yes. Remove all unnecessary cables from behind the workstation and along any pathways between interview rooms and displays.
How many displays are needed in total?Four (4). One (1) in each room we’re monitoring from. They need to be slightly larger than existing displays. Size of current displays: 34x28”. Mounted 65” off the floor. Workstation display would be the same size and model as all other displays.
Do you need existing cameras which are not associated with the interview rooms to be shown on all of the displays in a 9-up configuration (as is currently configured with the existing interview room cameras)?Yes, both interview room cameras and other cameras in this building should be displayed in an identical configuration on each display.
Other Notes added•Keep Honeywell DVD writer but also replace with new version that supports new camera/workstation solution.
•Interview tables are 27 inches tall from floor.
•Hallway is ~100 feet long.
•Once removed, the Client wants to keep existing interview room cameras in their inventory.
What are the payment terms once the installation is completed and tested?Payment will be 30 days after invoice is approved.
