STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

Rosburg Fitness Center Softball Scoreboard (Remove/Replace)

DATE: 1 AUG 2024

INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND

Request a removal/replacement project at Rosburg Fitness Center. The existing softball scoreboard is inoperable and irreparable and must be replaced for use in intramural sports. The support beams the current scoreboard is mounted on are also compromised and must be replaced before mounting a new scoreboard. All necessary electrical work for function of new scoreboard must also be completed.

SCOPE OF WORK

A. Site Assessment

i. Conduct an inspection of the grounds where current support beams are removed from before installing new support beams

ii. Confirm site is prepared for new installation

B. Removal of Existing Scoreboard and Support Beams

i. Safely remove existing scoreboard and mounting hardware from the support beams

ii. Safely remove existing support beams from the ground

iii. Properly dispose of all removed items/equipment

C. Installation of New Support Beams and Scoreboard

i. Unpack/unload and inspect new scoreboard and support beams for damage or defects

ii. Install new support beams and mount new scoreboard onto support beams

D. Perform Electrical Work

i. Safely perform any necessary electrical work required for remote function of scoreboard

E. Quality Assurance

i. Perform a final inspection to ensure that:

1. Support beams are properly secured into ground

2. Scoreboard is properly mounted to support beams

3. Electrical work is successful in operation/function of the scoreboard

ii. Verify that all work meets the project specifications and safety standards

F. Cleanup and Restoration

i. Remove and dispose of any debris, old hardware, equipment, and other materials from the site

ii. Restore site to its original condition, ensuring it is clean and safe for use

G. Performance of Work

i. Work is to be performed during normal business hours: Mon. – Fri. 7am – 5pm

SAFETY

A. General

i. The Contractor shall provide and maintain work environments and procedures that will safeguard the public and Government personnel, property, materials, supplies, and equipment exposed to contractor operations and activities; avoid interruptions of Government operations and delays in project completion dates; and control costs in the performance of this contract

ii. For these purposes, the Contractor shall:

1. Provide appropriate safety barricades, signs and signal lights

2. Comply with the standards issued by any local government authority having jurisdiction over occupational health and safety issues

3. Take any additional measures the Contracting Officer determines to be reasonably necessary for this purpose

iii. The Contractor shall maintain an accurate record of exposure data on all accidents incident to work performed under this contract resulting in: death, traumatic injury, occupational disease, or damage to or theft or loss of property, materials, supplies, or equipment. The Contractor shall report this data as directed by the Contracting Officer

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

This project MUST BE COMPLETE 60 days after date of award.

FUNDING OF PROJECT

Funding will be provided by Rosburg fitness center Appropriated Funds.

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

The Government will inspect finished work upon its delivery. The Government retains the right to refuse damaged or faulty equipment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The Contractor is to maintain communication channels with the Fitness and Sports Director (FSD) and Fitness Operations Manager (FOM) before start of, during, and upon completion of this project.
