About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity F1S0AX6168A002 regarding Spectrum Analyzers. The document addresses a single clarification question from a potential offeror regarding the frequency range requirements for the spectrum analyzers.
The government clarified that it is projecting a need to scan frequencies from approximately 50 KHz up to 40 GHz. The response indicates the government recognizes that the 200 MHz specification mentioned in the original notification refers to resolution bandwidth (the intermediate frequency filter bandwidth) rather than the total spectrum span. The government further noted that while the 50 KHz to 40 GHz range represents the target requirement, equipment that falls outside these parameters would still be considered acceptable if useful for the government's purposes. This indicates some flexibility in the technical specifications while establishing the primary frequency range needed for the acquisition.

Spectrum Analyzers
Questions and Anwers F1S0AX6168A002
Question 1. May we please know the frequency range required?
We believe the 200 Mhz mentioned in the notification is for resolution bandwidth (i.e.
bandwidth of the intermediate frequency filter). And we need to know the frequency range (i.e. total spectrum span being observed) that will be swept by that span.
Response: The government is projecting to need to scan from about 50KHz up to 40GHz. If the government end up with equipment that falls lower and/or higher than those that’s still useful.
