Award Document Q&A Solicitation #F15PS00594
1. Are there any ceilings or do the partitions go all the way to roof? Brings into question heating the spaces and "attic" space.
There are no interior ceilings. Interior wall partitions are to be standard +/- 8' high. In either wood or metal stud with gypsum board. This +/- 8' wall includes sill plate, stud, and top plate.
2. If we are considering a metal building those packages do not allow for R-49 insulation.
Section 2.13 INSULATION. Please note the correction. Building roof is to have an R- value of 39. This could be accomplished by any methods including a simple saver insulation method or comparable.
3. For the well alternate, does that mean that the well is a stand alone cost or is it to include everything associated with a well such as pressure tank, piping to building, electrical involved, interior plumbing? Please be specific as to what the alternate includes or doesn't include.
All associated components to the well, including but not limited to: pressure tank, all piping, electrical, interior plumbing, etc shall be part of the additive price line item.
4. Is the general contractor and their electrical subcontractor at liberty to design/build what appears to be missing elements, ie switching and other normal electrical fitout?
Assume (4) switches for interior lights.
5. The roll-up garage doors, are they intended to be actual roll-up type or sectional overhead doors. The drawing indicates sectional overhead doors. There is no power indicated so are we to assume they are manually operated?
Section 2.15 INSULATED METAL ROLL-UP DOORS. The doors will be insulated panel - section overhead doors as shown in elevations, not roll-up doors as indicated in specifications and in floor plan view. They will be metal, with a R-12 or greater insulation value.
