About this file
The document is a request for contractors to perform an archaeological survey of approximately 231.45 acres across multiple Readiness Center locations in Middle Tennessee. The Tennessee Army National Guard (TNARNG) is seeking a contractor for a one-year contract to identify archaeological sites or features that warrant protection under federal and state laws. The key requirements include a kick-off meeting, archival research, archaeological survey, preparation of draft and final reports, GIS data collection, and curation of artifacts and documentation. The contract period is 365 days from the effective date, with an estimated value under $50,000. The contractor must meet professional qualifications for archaeology as set by the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and comply with all state and federal regulations.
The survey includes locations in Cumberland, Hamilton, Putnam, Sequatchie, and Sumner counties, as well as the cities of Chattanooga and Copperhill. The TNARNG is seeking to strengthen the partnership between Agencies and the Central Procurement Office (CPO) by capturing Agency assessments and feedback on the services provided by the CPO. The goal is to meet Agency procurement-related needs and goals by implementing improvements to CPO approaches, processes, and tools.
