This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) form filed by the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), Duval County Health Department, Environmental Health Division. The agency seeks to purchase a fully automated desktop microbiological testing water system that is U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved, along with associated supplies, service plan, training, and installation services. The requested system is accredited by the Bureau of Public Health Laboratories to perform microbiological testing on both potable and non-potable water. The contract term is one year. The notice was posted on October 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with the last day for receipt of information set for November 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM, allowing a 15 business day comment period as required by Florida Statutes Sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3).

The estimated dollar amount for this single source purchase is $45,187.35. IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is identified as the sole intended source, specifically for the IDEXX Tecta Automation Technology instrument (Model B16, 115V, TECTAB16A 115-02). The purchase was approved by Sonja German, Purchasing Director. Prospective vendors are invited to provide information regarding their ability to supply the described commodities or services; however, if the agency determines in writing that the commodities are available only from a single source, it will proceed with the single-source contract as specified in Florida Administrative Code Rule 60A-1.045.
