About this file
The document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Health (DOH), specifically the Bureau of Public Health Laboratories (BPHL), seeking authorization to purchase technical support and helpdesk services for the Newborn Screening Web Ordering System. The contract is intended to be awarded to AAJ Computer Services, Inc. d/b/a OZ for a three-year term, with a posting date of 6/11/2025 and a last day for receipt of information of 7/2/2025. The services include helpdesk, maintenance, performance monitoring, and technical support for the custom-designed web ordering system, including Azure infrastructure support.
The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $237,700.00. The justification for the single-source acquisition is based on AAJ Computer Services' unique involvement in the system's development, as they jointly designed the Newborn Screening Web Ordering System with the Department of Health, built and deployed it in Azure, and currently support the application in a DOH tenant. AAJ is identified as the only company with the specific knowledge of the system architecture, application design specifications, and in-depth subject matter expertise necessary to provide responsive helpdesk and technical support services, including fixing, testing, and deploying any system deficiencies at no additional charge to DOH.
