About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Department of Health. The Department of Health is renewing its subscription to the Training-Finder Real-time Affiliate Integrated Network (TRAIN) Learning Network, which is required to meet the training requirements outlined in DOHP180-1-06 that apply to all DOH employees. The Division of Administration, Bureau of Personnel and Human Resource Management is requesting authorization to purchase the TRAIN annual subscription from the sole provider, Public Health Foundation. The estimated dollar amount for the subscription is $42,500.00, and the term is for 1 year.

The justification for the single-source acquisition is that Public Health Foundation is the sole owner and provider of the TRAIN Learning Network, database, and web architecture, and it is in the Department of Health's best interest to purchase the upgrades, modifications, enhancements, and maintenance from the sole source to maintain continuity of operations and mandatory employee trainings. The contract opportunity covers the Leon County and Tallahassee City jurisdictions.
