About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Public Health Laboratories (BPHL). The BPHL requires helpdesk, maintenance, performance monitoring, and technical support services for the custom-designed Newborn Screening Web Ordering system, including Azure infrastructure support. These services are necessary to fix any application deficiencies, make minor enhancements, and support the ongoing rollout to birthing center customers. The Department is requesting authorization to purchase these services as a single source from AAJ Computer Services, Inc. dba OZ, the company that jointly designed, built, and currently supports the application.
The estimated dollar amount for the 3-year contract is $229,500. AAJ is the only vendor with the specific knowledge of the system architecture, design specifications, and subject matter expertise required to provide the requested services and support. The Department has determined that these services are only available from a single source.
