Park cleaning Liquids spilled on toilet floors

Spills will be mopped up as soon as possible to prevent an injury from falling.

Mopping floors When floors are being mopped, signs shall be posted or doors to toilets shall be locked, to warn the public of possible slipping hazard.

Motor vehicle operation

When operating any motor vehicle, personnel will have a current, valid state operators license in their possession. Seat belts will be worn at all times when vehicle is in operation. Vehicles will be operated at posted speeds or lesser as indicated by road and weather conditions. Vehicles will be operated in a safe manner. Personnel will have vehicles under control at all times. Exit or entrance to vehicles will not be permitted while vehicle is in motion. No vehicle will be left unattended unless the engine is shut off, key removed, parking brake set, and gear selector in park. Every passenger will have a seat and wear a seatbelt. There will be no riders permitted in the back of pickups, flatbed trucks, etc.

Traffic Practice defensive driving techniques. Properly position mirrors for turning and backing. All vehicles will stop at railroad crossings and determine if a train is approaching before proceeding. Care shall be used in entering access or primary roads.

All appropriate State Motor Vehicle Operating laws will always be observed.

Refuse disposal Trucks used for refuse disposal will be in good operating condition. Vehicles will be operated in a safe manner. Trucks will have covers to prevent trash from flying out causing a driving hazard to others.

Lifting Always use proper lifting techniques. Use adequate manpower or mechanical assistance.

Weather If lightning is present, personnel will move to a clear area away from trees and equipment and will remain there until the danger passes or if the Foreman directs them to another location.
