About this file
This document is an Exhibit detailing Laundry Specialist Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the FCEC (acronym unspecified), outlining comprehensive guidelines for a full-time laundry specialist role. The specialist will be provided with specific equipment including two commercial Milnor Washing Machines, two ADC Dryers, a laundry detergent dispensing machine, multiple laundry carts, shelving, and associated cleaning supplies. The specialist's primary responsibilities include transporting, sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens across four distinct categories: bath linens, sheets/pillowcases, blankets/comforters, and mattress pads.
The document provides meticulous instructions for linen handling, including precise washing temperatures (130 degrees), drying protocols (165 degrees for 40 minutes), specific folding techniques for different linen types, and storage guidelines (e.g., bath towels stacked in groups of 8, other items stacked in groups of 30). Special attention is given to managing stained or biohazard linens, with specific protocols for blood/bodily fluid contamination, and a structured process for documenting and disposing of damaged linens. The laundry specialist will be trained by a program manager, who will also oversee equipment maintenance and approve any significant changes to the laundry operation.
