1. The Florida Department of Children and Families (Department/DCF) (Owner), Office of General Services, in conjunction with NEFSH Maintenance Staff will provide construction administration for this Project.
2. The facility is supplied with natural gas. Therefore, equipment that is not described herein, as electric should be set up for natural gas.
3. The facility is supplied with Steam (330 + deg and at approximately 125 LBS of pressure). Therefore, equipment that is not described herein, as electric should be set up for natural gas.
4. All kitchen equipment must be serviceable within 100 miles of the Hospital.
5. Parts must be readily available in the USA for purchase. Not parts that typically need to be ordered from overseas.
6. The Contractor will supply (with the kitchen equipment) all parts needed to hook up the equipment for operation at NEFSH.
7. Alternate # 1. Contractor will provide a price to come to NEFSH and remove the old equipment within 180 days of the contract date. Old equipment will be stored in a NEFSH building.
8. Alternate # 2. Contractor will provide a price to come back to NEFSH at a later date (within 180 days of the contract date) and install the new kitchen equipment purchased and stored.
9. NEFSH will receive all the equipment and it will be stored in a secured NEFSH building before being installed.
SECTION 01010 - Page 1 of 2
A. Masks are required while on Campus. A N95 or KN995, approved by the Hospital, must be worn in areas where residents are present. A surgical mask must be worn in all other buildings, unless alone. No mask is required outside if people can socially distance. Masks aren’t required in empty buildings where Contractors are working. The Hospital will supply masks for Contractors to be around residents.
B. Work hours will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday hours will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with a minimum of one-week advanced notice. Emergencies will be addressed on an as needed basis.
If the Contractor wants to work past 5:00 pm on weekdays, the hospital needs a minimum of one-week advanced notice. State holidays will be nonworking days for construction.
C. The Contractor will need to check in at the guard station every morning and sign in. The Contractor will need to return to the designated location at the end of every day to sign out.
D. The Contractor will be escorted inside buildings by security staff or Hospital Maintenance Staff. The Hospital will provide one escort to the Contractor.
E. The Contractor cannot leave material, and/or equipment unattended where residents can have access to it.
F. The Contractor will maintain a clean site daily. The area beyond the construction site operations is not to be disturbed. Site constraints will be coordinated with Hospital Maintenance Staff on a map before commencement of Work.
G. The Contractor must Keep driveways and entrances clear at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or storage of materials. Schedule deliveries to the site, to minimize the storage of large number of materials. Existing facility operations will continue during construction.
H. Full Owner Occupancy: The Owner will occupy the Campus buildings, site, and adjacent buildings during construction. However, the kitchen building will be empty for this Work. Coordinate with the Owner to minimize conflicts and facilitate Owner usage. Perform the work so as not to interfere with Owner’s operations.
