About this file
This document is a technical specification for a 5,500 kVA, 60 Hz, liquid-filled, medium-voltage, automatic resettable vacuum fault interrupter (AR-VFI) transformer to be installed at the Florida State Hospital (FSH) in Chattahoochee, Florida. The transformer must meet various IEEE, Department of Energy, and NEMA standards, and be rated for 12,470 V high voltage and 4,160/2,400 V low voltage. The transformer must use Envirotemp FR3 less-flammable dielectric fluid and be cooled by natural air circulation. The specification includes details on the transformer's construction, ratings, accessories, testing requirements, shipping, and on-site testing.
The related state and local contract opportunity is for the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to solicit bids from qualified vendors to provide the 5,500 kVA transformer at the FSH facility. The contract opportunity was posted with a Notice of Intent of Rejection of All Responses, and two addenda have been issued providing written inquiry responses and a new Exhibit N attachment. No pricing terms, set asides, incumbent information, or funding details are provided in the contract opportunity description.
