About this file
This document is a Lenel Security System Requirements specification for USDA APHIS (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service) detailing security system infrastructure and installation requirements. The security system must be LENEL-compliant, with all devices installed by certified technicians and integrated into USDA APHIS's access control architecture. Specific requirements include installing FIPS-compliant dual technology card readers at primary exterior entrances, intrusion detection devices on other exterior doors, and alarm monitoring through Federal Protective Service Megacenter's.
The Lessor must prepare the space with several specific infrastructure components: a 4' x 8' fireproof plywood wall mount, a dedicated 20-amp electrical circuit, an analog POTS line for the alarm dialer, a LAN/WAN IT drop, and single-gang work boxes with conduit at card reader doors. The system components will remain USDA APHIS property and may be removed at lease end. USDA APHIS will be responsible for equipment maintenance and labor, while ensuring all security devices are compatible with their existing enterprise security system.
