About this file

This is a Nondiscrimination Policy exhibit issued by the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Office of Children, Aging, and Community Service (OCACS) for a Foster Support contract opportunity in Colorado. The policy document establishes nondiscrimination requirements and protections for all clients served through OCACS-funded programs and applies to all vendors, contractors, subcontractors, grantees, and sub-recipients who receive funding assistance to provide services or benefits. The document includes definitions of key protected characteristics including gender identity, gender expression, familial status, marital status, and sexual orientation to ensure clarity in policy application.

Vendors and contractors are required to comply with all applicable Colorado nondiscrimination laws and OCACS-specific nondiscrimination terms. Specifically, contractors agree not to discriminate based on race, color, ethnic group, national origin, age, religion, mental or physical disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, familial status, pregnancy, veteran status, or HIV status. This nondiscrimination commitment aligns with CDHS's mission to empower Coloradans to thrive and applies to all sub-recipients including county departments of human and social services and OCACS contractors throughout the state.
