About this file
This document is a planned events schedule (Exhibit D) for fiscal year 2027 at the Ocean Center, a convention facility managed by Volusia County, Florida. The schedule lists approximately 80 events spanning from October 2026 through October 2027, encompassing diverse event categories including competitive sports (basketball, volleyball, cheer, dance, wrestling, gymnastics, and taekwondo), conferences and conventions (educational, professional, and industry-specific), food shows, banquets and galas, expos, and community events. Events range from single-day to multi-day engagements, with durations varying from one to eight days. The schedule demonstrates the facility's capacity to accommodate simultaneous events across its 181,174 square feet of space, including the Arena (42,146 sq. ft.), Exhibit Hall (93,028 sq. ft.), Ballroom (14,000 sq. ft.), and 32 meeting/breakout rooms (32,000 sq. ft.). This planned events calendar directly supports the concurrent Request for Statement of Qualifications for an exclusive audio-visual services provider, establishing the baseline demand and operational requirements the selected A/V contractor must manage on an ongoing basis throughout the three-year contract term.
The events listed represent the anticipated client base and revenue-generating activities that will generate Gross Revenue subject to the 20% commission compensation structure specified in the A/V services contract. The diversity and volume of events—ranging from youth athletic competitions to professional industry conferences—illustrates the breadth of technical capabilities and rapid-response service requirements the selected A/V contractor must deliver. The schedule indicates consistent facility utilization throughout the fiscal year, with notable clustering of events during fall 2026 and spring 2027, establishing predictable demand patterns for equipment deployment, technical staffing, and on-site presence requirements mandated in the services contract.
