About this file

This is an exhibit commodity contract form from the City of New Haven Department of Finance, establishing terms and conditions for purchase orders and vendor agreements with the City of New Haven, Connecticut. The document serves as a standardized template for the City's procurement processes and outlines the framework for engaging vendors to provide goods and services. The contract form includes fields for documenting contract purpose, vendor information, contract terms, funding sources, and account details, with a defined contract term structure that includes start and end dates. The template incorporates standard procurement requirements including specifications, warranty provisions, delivery obligations, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The contract establishes that vendors must provide goods and services conforming to City specifications with a one-year warranty period, with delivery prepaid and fees included in the total contract amount. The City of New Haven is exempt from excise, sales, and use taxes under Connecticut State Statute Section 12-412a, and all invoices must be submitted to the designated email address with total amounts not exceeding quantities or amounts stated on the purchase order. Vendors are required to maintain all necessary insurance coverage as specified in an attached Rider unless selling only commodities via standard courier service, and must comply with Connecticut law and all applicable City ordinances and codes. Any variations to delivery schedule, price, quantity, or specifications require written agreement and signatures from the City of New Haven, with time being of the essence for deliveries by required dates.
