1. Preservation. MIL-STD-2073-1 as specified herein, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements of this standard.
1.1 Image Intensifier MX-9644/UV, MX-9648/UV, MX-9916/UV, MX-10130/PVS-7, MX-10160/AVS-6, MX-11619/UV, MX-11620/UV, MX-11769/UV, MX-18281/PVS-?A, and MX-18282/PVS-?B. Unit pack each item as follows: Each item shall be wrapped and cushioned in accordance with PPP-C-1797 or MIL-PRF-26514, type 1, class 2, grade A to mitigate shock, thereby preventing physical and functional damage to the item. All projections or sharp edges shall be cushioned to protect the item using the aforementioned cushinioning materials. The cushioned item shall then be placed in a close-fitting box conforming to PPP B-566 or PPP-B-676, as applicable, and enclosed in a heat-sealed bag conforming to MIL-DTL-117, type I, class E, style 1.
2. Marking. In addition to the marking requirements of MIL-STD-129, the following wording shall be placed on a label and applied to the unit pack.
The label shall consist of a water-resistant grade of paper, film, fabric, or plastic, coated on one side with water-insoluble, permanent type adhesive which shall adhere to metal, plastic, or fiberboard sufaces under high and low temperatures. The labels shall have a finish suitable for printing and
