About this file

This specification document outlines requirements for salt brine storage tanks that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking from vendors. PennDOT requires seventeen tanks across three capacity categories: eight 5,000-gallon tanks, seven 10,000-gallon tanks, and two 6,100-gallon tanks. Deliveries must be split between two locations—Eastern PA Training Facility (EPTF) in Grantville, Pennsylvania, and PennDOT Engineering District 2-0 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania—with all tanks required to arrive within 60 days of purchase order receipt. The specification does not indicate response due dates, site visits, or bidder conferences.

All tanks must be new, single-walled construction with UV protection and a minimum manufacturer's warranty of three years or longer. Tanks must feature a minimum 2-inch port and be delivered on an F.O.B. destination basis with no installation services required. The specification does not address pricing structures, set-asides, incumbent contractors, or funding sources. Vendors should provide quotes based on these technical requirements and delivery parameters.
