About this file
This document is an Exhibit B Performance Requirements/Specifications for a Nitrogen Generator procurement by the Washington Department of Health (DOH), specifically for the newborn screening laboratory. The document outlines mandatory technical specifications for a nitrogen generator system, with 14 specific requirement items that bidders must meet to be considered. Key requirements include a self-contained nitrogen generator with a minimum of one unit (up to four), capable of producing oil-free nitrogen with greater than 95% purity, suitable for mass spectrometry instrumentation. The system must supply 3500 liters per hour or more, operate at 100 PSI or greater, have multiple 1/4" BSPP fittings, and meet specific dimensional constraints (height <= 66 inches, width <= 26", depth <= 26").
Additional mandatory requirements cover installation, electrical specifications, portability, warranty, and service terms. The nitrogen generator must be mounted on wheels, use a NEMA L6-15 or L6-30 receptacle, run on 208 or 240 volts at 60 Hz, and have a noise level of <= 62 dB. The vendor must provide a minimum one-year warranty and be able to offer service within two weeks of request, with customer support available within 48 hours. The document also requests information about potential annual service agreements and multi-year pricing options, indicating the DOH is seeking a comprehensive solution with long-term support capabilities for this critical laboratory equipment.
