About this file

This document is an Exhibit A from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), Division of Administration, Bureau of General Services, detailing sitework improvements for the Suwannee State Farmers Market located in White Springs, FL. The project involves parking lot repairs and paving improvements, with work divided into six phases and including a base bid for milling and removing existing pavement, installing new asphalt, re-striping parking spaces, and maintaining drainage. The project also includes two add alternates: one for extruded concrete curbing and another for seal coating, covering approximately 850,000 square feet of paving area. The work will be performed in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) specifications, with the contractor responsible for material procurement, product submittals, soil density testing, and maintaining facility operations during construction.

The project includes technical specifications covering material requirements, installation procedures, and quality control measures. The base bid and add alternates specify detailed requirements for concrete mix, asphalt composition, curb installation, and seal coating application. The contractor must use Type SP-12.5 PG-76-22 Traffic Level C asphalt with up to 20% Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Material, install extruded concrete curbing with specific dimensional and strength requirements, and apply seal coating using bituminous or coal tar emulsion-based products. The project emphasizes compliance with FDOT standards, OSHA and EPA regulations, and requires a one-year material and labor warranty. The specifications provide comprehensive guidelines for surface preparation, application methods, weather conditions, traffic control, and environmental considerations.
