EXHIBIT A: SCOPE OF WORK – 2025 LMIG GROUP 3
This is a Scope of Work document for the City of Atlanta Department of Transportation outlining public right-of-way improvements under the 2025 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) Street Resurfacing and Associated Activities Group 3 project. The project encompasses 4.32 centerline miles or 16.59 lane miles of asphalt resurfacing work across three Atlanta streets: Benjamin E Mays Drive SW (Fairburn Road to Cascade Road), Greenbriar Parkway SW (Campbellton Road to Continental Colony Parkway), and Lakewood Avenue SE (Macon Drive to Claire Drive). Work activities include variable depth milling of 1 to 2 inches of existing pavement, overlay with 1 to 2 inches of 12.5mm asphalt mix at a spread rate of 220, point patching and leveling, roadway striping, loop detector repairs, ramp upgrades and ADA compliance installations, and adjustments to utility structures including manholes, water valves, and drop inlets encased with concrete pads. All work must comply with current Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) standards and specifications and City of Atlanta Department of Transportation details and specifications. Contractor must submit required documents including Contract Schedule, Safety and Health Plan, Quality Control Plan, Materials Submittals, Environmental Compliance Plan, and Traffic Control Plan within fifteen days of contract award but before site mobilization.
All unit and lump sum prices are firm, all-inclusive, and fixed for the duration of the agreement with no escalation provisions. Quantities listed in the Schedule of Unit and Lump Sum Prices are approximations subject to variation, with payment issued for actual quantities incorporated into the work based on established unit prices. Performance and Payment Bond costs are to be distributed across work items. The City reserves the right to make adjustments within the general scope of work through Change Orders issued by the Engineer, which may increase or decrease originally awarded quantities without invalidating the agreement or releasing the surety. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day apply for each day that substantial completion is delayed beyond the established milestone deadline unless prior written approval is obtained from the City. Change Orders for altered work may include contract time extensions at the Engineer's discretion and require contractor surety consent with corresponding Performance and Payment Bond increases.
