EXHIBIT A: RMRS HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, AND DATA

PROCESSING PROCEDURES

PERSONAL DATA RECORDER

The Contractor shall provide a Personal Data Recorder (PDR) meeting the following specifications:

• Technical support by The Government:

o Trimble Ranger 7 o Juniper systems Allegro MX/Allegro 2 o All units must have a minimum of 128MB RAM/8GB flash storage

• NO technical support by The Government:

o Juniper Systems Allegro CE/CX minimum of 128MB RAM/512MB flash storage o Any other make/model

• The above listed PDRs are required because data collection software has been designed to run on specific machines. Other makes or models may not perform as intended.

• It is anticipated over the life of this contract some changes in data editing software may be made. As such changes are required, upgrades will be provided by the Government.

PERSONAL COMPUTER/LAPTOP

The Contractor shall provide a personal computer with the following specifications and software:

• Microsoft Windows 10 operating system

• Java Version 8 Update 121 or later

• Microsoft Office 2013 or later Office 365 preferred

• PowerPoint

• Word

• Excel

• Microsoft Teams

• Email capability to communicate with the COR and receive data collection and contract information.

• Internet access and compatible operating system to interact with the FIA database, currently MIDAS, to download historical data, receive PDR updates, and transfer completed data to the database.

• Install programs for MIDAS, supporting software will be distributed via the MIDAS website.

• Updates to the system will be distributed through the MIDAS website with a username and password login for each contractor.

• Current and updated Antivirus software on any computer used to house FIA data.

GPS Unit:

The Contractor provided GPS (Global Positioning System) unit(s) shall have the following specifications:

• Capable of averaging

• Description of datum and position format is detailed in the RMRS FIA P2 Field Procedures manual.

DATA PROCESSING PROCEDURES:

1) Data Recorder Software - The contractor shall use the Government-provided data recorder software to enter and edit the collected data. The Contractor shall download the latest version of historical data files from MIDAS website before starting the plot. The contractor shall resolve all errors/critical warnings and provide a detailed explanation for all critical warnings before uploading the plot to the MIDAS website. Explanations are entered in a text box associated with each warning or critical warning in the MIDAS Mobile application.

2) Software Updates - The software may be updated during the period of performance.

Contractors shall login to the MIDAS website and receive updates before editing, processing, and uploading the plots to MIDAS for completion/payment. PDRs shall be updated at these times.

3) Plot Editing Tools- The contractor shall use the latest MIDASMobile, MidasTablet or MIDAS Control Panel software to edit each plot.

COMPLETED ELECTRONIC DATA SUBMISSION FOR EACH PLOT:

After successfully uploading plots to the MIDAS website server, each plot shall be submitted according to the Performance Work Statement, Section 11.0 – Performance Requirement Measures and Attachment 3 – Government Quality Assurance Plan
