About this file
This document is an Exhibit detailing the consultant tasks for a Request for Responses (RFR) issued by the Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission (GIC). The general purpose of the audits is to ensure proper handling of membership files, adherence to plan contract terms, accurate claims processing and payment, and satisfactory customer service and related claims-support functions.
The tasks outlined cover two contract years - FY2016 (and potentially FY2018) and FY2017 (and potentially FY2019) - and include claims adjudication reviews, electronic claims reviews, split claim reviews, and operational reviews of customer service and claims processing for various GIC health plans. The auditor is expected to provide assessments, recommendations, corrective action plans, and detailed audit reports that will be presented to the GIC Commission. The contract may be renewed for a total of four years.
