About this file
This is a technical specifications exhibit from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for District 13 crack sealing work on State Highway Route 071 (OR 7). The project involves crack sealing approximately 102,400 linear feet of roadway between mile posts 24.9-50.5 on both east and west bound lanes, including travel lanes and shoulders. The work must commence after April 1, 2025, with final completion by June 15, 2025. The contractor must follow the 2024 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction and be capable of preparing and sealing approximately 10,000 linear feet per 10-hour shift. The work requires pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager, and work must begin within five working days of this meeting after Notice to Proceed is issued.
The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, machinery, materials, and traffic control. Technical requirements include heating sealant materials between 280-400 degrees Fahrenheit, sealing cracks 1/8" or wider, and maintaining two separate work zones to meet Freight Mobility standards with 22' horizontal clearance for oversized loads. Traffic control must allow for loads to be waved through with delays not exceeding 20 minutes. The project manager is Allen Jensen, and payment will be made per linear foot of sealed cracks, including all materials, equipment, labor, and traffic control costs.
