About this file

This document is a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the Bureau of Reclamation for the WaterSMART Cooperative Watershed Management Program (Funding Opportunity Number R26AS00349). The document provides guidance on the requirements for Sub-criterion No. A2 (Watershed Geographic Scope), which requires applicants to submit maps as part of their project response.

Applicants must provide a watershed map that clearly illustrates the geographic boundaries of the watershed or watershed group and identifies the locations of stakeholders supportive of the initiative across the geographic extent. For projects that include site-specific restoration planning, applicants must additionally provide a map of the specific restoration site(s). The document includes an example watershed map depicting the South Fork Boise River (Anderson Ranch Dam to Arrowrock Dam) that demonstrates the required level of geographic detail, showing land ownership designations (Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Forest Service, and State), State Protected Rivers (Natural and Recreational), and nearby reservoirs. This example illustrates the mapping standards and visual clarity expected in application submissions.
