About this file
This Amendment One to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) document, issued by the Kansas Department of Administration's Office of Procurement and Contracts on behalf of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, modifies the procurement for playground surface material. The amendment updates the cost sheet that was originally on pages 27-28 of the IFB bid documents and establishes a new bid closing date of December 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST. Bidders must submit a signed copy of the amendment with their bid response. The procurement covers the supply of playground surfacing material to multiple Kansas State Park locations across various counties, with delivery scheduled for June 30, 2027.
The cost sheet requires vendors to provide fixed unit pricing for material and freight on a per-cubic-yard basis for each State Park location they wish to service, with average loads estimated between 80 and 120 cubic yards. Material pricing must remain uniform across all locations, though freight pricing may vary by delivery distance. Vendors must also provide fixed per-drop pricing for multi-location deliveries, either within a single park or between multiple parks. Bidders must certify compliance with safety standards, including IPEMA certification and CPSC compliance, and submit technical documentation confirming the material comprises 100 percent virgin hardwoods with zero chemical treatment residuals. The State of Kansas is exempt from state sales, use taxes, and federal excise taxes; all other applicable federal, state, and local taxes must be included in the bid price.
