About this file

This document is an addendum to a construction project at the Larned State Hospital in Kansas, issued by the Department of Administration Office of Facilities and Property Management. The addendum provides changes, clarifications, and additional details related to the roof repair projects at four residential buildings and three modular buildings on the hospital campus. The projects include replacing TPO roofs and asphalt shingle roofs, with specific requirements for roof slopes, flashing, and underlayment. The addendum also addresses working hours, site access, and coordination with the daycare center. Bids are due on August 21, 2024, by 2:00 PM, and a signed copy of the addendum must be submitted with the bid response.

The construction project is subject to federal, state, and local tax requirements. The state is exempt from state sales or use taxes and federal excise taxes for direct purchases. Vendors are responsible for paying all applicable taxes. The total lump sum price for all buildings, as well as a price per square foot for decking, must be provided on the revised cost sheet. The project has an order of priority for completion, starting with House 303 and ending with the modular buildings.
