About this file
This is a medication dispensing system specification document for a hospital health system in Ohio, detailing the technical and operational requirements for Event 7094. The system must integrate with OCHIN Epic patient record management software used by the region's three primary hospital and health systems. The dispensing system shall include both small units with 60-medication capacity (one unit required) and large units with 150-medication capacity (three units required), with provisions for future expansion of storage capacity. Access controls must incorporate biometric or keycard reader technology with authorized-user-only restrictions, automatic locking after periods of inactivity, and the ability to store controlled substances. The system must maintain perpetual inventory tracking with user activity logging and environmental controls maintaining storage conditions between 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit and below 60 percent humidity.
The procurement includes monthly ongoing costs associated with the system, with the vendor responsible for providing 4-6 months of these costs following purchase, after which ongoing maintenance and operational costs become the responsibility of The Centers, the end-user organization. The specification document does not provide information regarding pricing structure, contract term length, renewal options, response deadlines, or award timelines, indicating these details are contained in supplementary procurement documents.
