About this file

This document is an Appendix for an Electrical Vehicle (EV) Charging Station Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut. The appendix details seven specific locations for public and municipal EV charging stations across the city, including the North End Library Branch (2 chargers), Margaret Morton Government Center (1 charger), City Hall municipal and public parking lots (3 chargers total), Klein Memorial Auditorium parking lot (1 charger), Glenwood Park/Wonderland of Ice (2 chargers), and a Black Rock neighborhood public parking lot (1 charger). Most locations will provide 24/7 public access, with the exception of the Klein Memorial Auditorium lot, which has restricted gate access during non-operational hours.

The proposed charging stations are strategically placed to serve multiple community needs, including municipal fleet vehicles, city employees, visitors to government buildings, cultural venues, parks, and local business districts. The locations span diverse city neighborhoods such as Downtown, North End, Upper East Side, and Black Rock, suggesting a comprehensive approach to expanding EV charging infrastructure. The RFP aims to increase public EV charging accessibility across Bridgeport, potentially supporting local economic development, environmental sustainability, and municipal transportation electrification efforts. While specific pricing, funding sources, and contract details are not provided in this appendix, the document clearly outlines the geographical and operational parameters for the proposed EV charging station deployment.
