About this file

This document contains the essential characteristics and requirements for a 128-Slice Computed Tomography (CT) System needed by the U.S. Naval Medical Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The CT system must be capable of scanning entire body habitus, performing scout scans in lateral and anterior-posterior planes, and acquiring up to 128 slices in one rotation with gated cardiac calcium scoring capabilities using wireless vital signal module. The system requires comprehensive clinical applications including 2D/3D image processing, DICOM networking, DVD/CD archiving, and metal artifact reduction functionality.

The vendor must be an OEM-authorized dealer providing full warranty and maintenance support, with FDA-compliant equipment. Key requirements include service engineer training for onsite biomedical technicians, 24-hour telephone response time for troubleshooting, and deployment of at least two security-cleared repair technicians. The vendor is responsible for delivery to Jacksonville, Florida port, while the government will handle transportation to GTMO. Upon arrival, the vendor must handle uncrating, facility installation, and debris removal, with specific requirements for ensuring the CT trailer is waterproof for transport and storage.
