About this file
This document is Amendment No. 1 to Request for Proposal (RFP) 24-043 issued by the City of Missouri City, Texas for the Collection of Delinquent Property Taxes and Miscellaneous Receivables. The amendment answers several questions submitted by interested parties, including whether the City would consider separate agreements for the collection of delinquent solid waste fees, employee fees, and fire alarm fees, the anticipated award date in the second quarter of 2024, and the initial contract term of three years. The City is seeking proposals from interested companies to provide the specified services by the due date of April 26, 2024.
Regarding pricing, the amendment states that bidders can submit alternate fee structures and that the location of the bidder's office or headquarters will not impact the award. The City is not at liberty to disclose the amounts paid to any incumbents. The City anticipates placing approximately $100,000 across 200 accounts, with the average balance and age of accounts varying by category. The City utilizes Tyler Technologies for case management and accounting and the tax assessor's office for property tax billing.
