About this file

This document is Addendum No. 2 to Request for Bid (RFB) 2023-089 for the Water Transmission/American Plaza to Exchange Parkway, Phase I project, issued by the City of Waco, Texas. The project scope generally includes the installation of approximately 3,500 linear feet of 24-inch C-900 DR 18 PVC waterline, a 215 linear foot bore using a 36-inch ductile iron pipe for a Union Pacific Railroad, and all associated pipe and miscellaneous work. The bid closing time is 2:00 P.M. CST on Friday, January 26, 2024, with the bid opening at 2:05 P.M. CST the same day. This addendum revises the Special Project Provisions, including a requirement for the contractor to set and/or alter the construction sequencing at no cost to the Owner based on easement availability, and additional pothole requirements for the contractor to identify existing utility locations and characteristics.

The cost of all potholes is subsidiary to the cost of installation of the appropriate utility, and the contractor must provide specific utility information to the Design Engineer. At locations where the proposed utility will connect to the existing utility, the contractor must pothole these locations prior to ordering the necessary materials, with failure to do so not considered a justification for an extension of the construction time.
