SCOPE OF WORK

LSC-UP seeks to purchase an advanced interactive dissection table that creates a 3D anatomy visualization and a virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology education to increase student success in various biological sciences and related courses. The highly interactive tool must function like a touch screen operating table and contain renowned radiology software and clinical content to meet legislatively driven student learning outcomes. Radiology and clinical content must include hi-resolution regional cadavers and segmented photo-realistic cadavers, regenerated from actual human bodies with both male and female form, such that photographs can create photographic slices, layer-by-layer. The clinical content should contain functional anatomy modules, including but not limited to joint movement, a beating heart (real heartbeat and real heart artificially combined with blood flow simulations), imagery of nerve pathways, and a real pregnant female cadaver combined with a CT scan of a fetus. High microscopic magnification histology slides and a large database of case studies of MRI’s and CTs of various pathologies with 3D rendering capabilities are also necessary. The table must be large enough for class sizes greater than 24 and have the ability to lay flat and stand upright so that faculty and students are able stand in one location and receive real-time instruction, without major physical space requirements. A hardcover/casing, warranty, and faculty and lab staff training are also needed.
