This RFQ intends to develop a pool of qualified MEP firms and enter into Master Agreements for the College’s use. This RFQ will result in the award of Master Agreements to those firms deemed qualified to offer the “best overall value” to the College. Services under these Master Agreements will be purchased as needed and a firm quote will be required for each small project. All obtained quotes for services shall have a fixed fee, based on the unit prices previously established (after award with the selected firm) and a statement of work. Quotes and purchase orders will be required before any service is performed. Projects shall be awarded to the firm deemed to be the most highly qualified for a particular project.
Should your firm be selected for the MEP pool, LSC does not guarantee your firm will be engaged for any project. Because this RFQ is for services to be provided on multiple small projects, LSC reserves the right to award all projects to one responding party, award multiple projects to one responding party with others being awarded to other respondents, or individual projects to multiple responding parties.
Indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity services may require but are not limited to, pre-project planning, estimating, programming, design, bid, and construction phases of the project delivery process or any other service that is beneficial in the delivery of facilities. The consultant must be capable of performing the services as specified by the project contract documents. Generally, small projects range from $10,000 to $2,000,000. Funding approval varies based on projects that have received approval, funding approval that is pending, and funding approval anticipated at a future date.
In particular, the Consultant must be prepared to assign at least one person with significant related experience to be available as the point of contact for all oversight efforts for Lone Star College.
CONTRACT TERMS
A contract with the selected firm(s) will be issued as an indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity contract up to a five (5) year term.
LSC will reserve the right to cancel such contract with or without cause at any time within thirty (30) days' written notice. This contract shall not be assigned to a third party. In the event the awarded company merges, sells, or dissolves, the awarded company shall promptly notify LSC in writing of such changes.
There is no amount of business guaranteed under this RFQ, either stated or implied.
