About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 1 to the Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 304T-24-680A3 for Prison Commissary Goods issued by the Statewide Procurement Division (SPD), a division of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. The IFB requests sealed responses for the procurement of prison commissary goods for resale across various jurisdictions in Texas, including Travis County and the City of Austin. The addendum revises the Mandatory Price Sheet, including changes to the estimated quantities for certain line items such as hot pots, cooling t-shirts, and cooling towels. It also provides exhibit photos for specific line items and answers to questions from potential respondents regarding the solicitation requirements and specifications.
The revised Mandatory Price Sheet and estimated quantities are detailed in the addendum. Respondents must acknowledge receipt of this addendum and return it with their response. Failure to submit the signed addendum may disqualify the response. The solicitation does not provide details on pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient commercial information.

I was just wondering why this is on the solicitation since we were awarded Extension of Contract 680A3-"REDACTED". I know it states “unless a new contract under different solicitation occurs”.
The Contract resulting from this Solicitation will replace the current 680A3 Contract.

9 Can you confirm the accuracy of the quantities in the XML file for Commissary goods?
Refer to Part A, Section A.7.6 - Quantities, also see the REVISED Mandatory Price Sheet.
10 I believe cooling towels is not accurate and has an extra 0, should be 140,000 and not 1,400,000, correct?
See page 1 of this Addendum No. 1 and REVISED Mandatory Price Sheet.
Also, can you confirm 28,000 cases is accurate for the hot pots?
That is roughly 112,000 units estimated over 4 years? Perhaps this also was intended to be 2,800 cases (11,200 hot pots estimated over 4 years?)
See page 1 of this Addendum No. 1 and REVISED Mandatory Price Sheet.
12 The price sheet also states 80,000 cases of shirts - over four years this is about 6,000,000 shirts. Is that accurate?
See page 1 of this Addendum No. 1 and REVISED Mandatory Price Sheet.
Prison Commissary Goods
Question No. Question Answer
In order to provide 1 price for all sizes ranging up to 4XL, is there a way to know the average annual order quantity by size?
In many instances the material cost for a 4XL shirt is double that of a small. It can be very difficult to settle on a single price.
Small: As Needed Med: 54 cases Large: 285 cases Xlarge: 270 cases 2XL: 210 cases 3XL: 330 cases 4XL: 110 cases
14 Regarding a sample being sent, does the sample need to arrive before proposal due date?
Refer to Part A, Section A.7.3 - Sample Requirements, Submitted with Response: Respondent must submit samples on or before the solicitation due date at the specified time and place for evaluation purposes.
