About this file
This document is an Addendum to the Request for Proposals (RFP) for Security Guard Services issued by the University of Houston System, which is a public university system comprising four separate universities located in Texas. The RFP outlines the scope of security guard services required across multiple campuses within the University of Houston System. The selected security services provider will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the university community. The RFP selection process will allow up to three vendors to be contracted for these services. Respondents are encouraged to propose contractual arrangements that offer maximum benefit to the University in terms of services, overall cost, and project management expertise.
The document also provides responses to various questions raised by potential bidders, including details about the scope of work, shift schedules, equipment requirements, training, parking, and access to university facilities. The incumbent security provider is Janissary Security Services, LLC, and Andy Frain has a contract for temporary security services. The RFP includes requirements for Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) participation, and bidders are required to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan as part of their proposal.
