About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) to identify sources that can provide a personnel scheduler and tracker application. The RFI is seeking information on applications that can manage field shift tracking, time approvals, shift bidding, and related personnel management functions across the department. The RFI does not commit TXDPS to any future solicitation, but rather is an information-gathering exercise to understand available solutions. The RFI includes questions and answers addressing various technical and operational requirements, such as integration with existing systems, security needs, mobile capabilities, and notification channels.

The RFI indicates that the solution is intended to address needs across multiple local jurisdictions in Texas, including Travis County and the City of Austin. While specific details on user counts, data migration, and system integration requirements are not provided, the RFI emphasizes that all specifications will be identified in any future solicitation document. Pricing and implementation approaches, such as Software-as-a-Service versus a project-based model, are also left open for potential respondents to provide input on.
