About this file

This is a specification document issued by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for a paint striping truck control and integrated data logging upgrade project. The specification outlines requirements for vendors to provide a complete upgrade package for six existing 2014 paint striping trucks. The upgrade must include all necessary hardware, software, installation kits, cameras, operator displays, GPS/cellular data capability, environmental sensing equipment, onsite installation assistance, calibration, training, travel, and shipping. The vendor must deliver an electronic paint striping control system capable of capturing and displaying vehicle speed, application rates, temperatures, pressures, material usage, paint volume, density or mil thickness information, bead tank or bead application data, distance information, pattern information, and job/application data. Additionally, the system must provide GPS and cellular communication capability to support fleet location tracking, remote data transfer, and access to collected data through an online software platform accessible to TxDOT personnel.

The specification requires vendors to provide one touchscreen operator display per truck, a minimum of two cameras per truck, environmental sensing capability, and all required installation hardware including cabling, connectors, labels, clamps, fasteners, protective loom, and related components. The initial year must include a minimum one-year subscription or platform access period, with annual renewal pricing to be provided separately. The online platform must provide access to striping operation data, fleet movement information, material usage information, environmental condition information, and reporting tools or templates. Vendors are required to provide onsite installation assistance, calibration, and training for all six trucks at a single TxDOT-designated location, with training covering system configuration, system functionality, and available training materials. Annual renewal pricing shall be provided separately from the initial contract pricing.
