About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 for Bid 26-33 issued by the City of Huntsville, Texas, related to the 16th Street Culvert Replacement project. The addendum modifies the original contract documents and must be acknowledged and submitted with all bid packets under penalty of disqualification. The bid closing date is August 20, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. Central Standard Time, with the addendum issued on August 17, 2026. The project involves the replacement of storm water culverts along 16th Street within a 50-foot right-of-way (ROW), with approximately 10 feet of ROW located behind the curb. Key project considerations include the removal of trees within the ROW if necessary to facilitate culvert replacement, replacement of inlet boxes if damaged during work, and coordination with utility providers regarding phone company equipment and boxes located on site.

The vendor is responsible for obtaining all required permits for the project, rather than the City of Huntsville. The City will provide contact information for the phone company to coordinate work; however, questions regarding change orders for any phone company charges and handling of delays caused by phone company involvement remain to be determined. Prospective bidders must submit a signed acknowledgment of the addendum with their solicitation packets, including their company name, address, contact information, telephone number, fax number, email address, and authorized signature. Questions regarding project-specific concerns were addressed through the Q&A section, clarifying ROW dimensions, tree removal policies, inlet replacement requirements, and utility coordination responsibilities.
