About this file

This Scope of Work document outlines electrical upgrade requirements for the Giddings State Juvenile Correctional Facility in Texas, a secure state facility. The project involves installing new electrical circuits in a classroom to support multiple appliances and equipment, including a 40-gallon water heater (30Amp/240V), two separate electric residential stoves (40Amp/240V each), eight receptacles configured as two per circuit (20Amp/110V), two separate residential dishwashers (20Amp/110V each), a stackable clothes washer and dryer unit (30Amp/240V), a commercial refrigerator (20Amp/110V), a commercial freezer (20Amp/110V), and an ice machine (20Amp/110V). All work must utilize copper wire and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable state and local codes. The facility's existing infrastructure features rigid conduit with single or double gang boxes mounted to walls, and breaker panels also wall-mounted with available capacity for new circuits. Contractors are encouraged to conduct site visits prior to submitting bids by contacting Maintenance Supervisor Robbie Toland at (979)716-8275.

All personnel entering the Giddings State Juvenile Correctional Facility must complete an approved background check before entry. Bidders are required to provide detailed proposals that specify materials and parts planned for use in the project. The drawing referenced in the scope, which indicates approximate locations of existing and new electrical infrastructure, is attached as supporting documentation. No specific pricing terms, contract award dates, or response deadlines are detailed in this scope of work document.
