About this file
This is Addendum 1 to Solicitation 405-26R0018671, issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety Procurement and Contract Services on June 11, 2026. The solicitation requests bids for branded merchandise comprising 350 knit beanies in true royal blue and 350 traveler bags in indigo blue, each featuring embroidered DPS logos. The beanies must be constructed from 100% acrylic pro rib Tompkin knit with embroidery sized to scale (maximum 5.5 inches wide by 3 inches high), while the traveler bags must be made from rPET polyester with similarly scaled embroidery (maximum 3.25 inches wide by 2 inches high). The delivery date is July 20, 2026, with a one-time delivery to DPS Headquarters at 5805 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. The original bid submission deadline was June 18, 2026, and the award was scheduled for June 24, 2026. This is a one-time purchase contract with no renewal options or minimum purchase commitments.
The addendum provides vendor responses to 14 submitted questions regarding product specifications, design requirements, and submission procedures. Key clarifications include confirmation that no vector or digitized embroidery files are available, requiring vendors to create their own designs; the specific colors requested are royal blue for beanies and indigo for the bag, without exact PMS, HEX, or CMYK values provided; and bidders must submit electronic responses to DPS_Solicit_Response@dps.texas.gov or via the DPS Online Bid Room. Vendors must acknowledge receipt of the addendum prior to bid submission, and bids are valid for 180 days from solicitation opening. The solicitation requires submission of audited financial statements, Dun & Bradstreet reports, W-9 forms, and an Application for Texas Identification Number with each bid.
