Presubmittal Conference Sign-In Sheet Summary
This document is a presubmittal conference sign-in sheet for The University of Texas at Austin's architectural water feature project (Project 102-1501, Contract 26PSS001). The conference was held on May 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM via Zoom to discuss a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for an Architect/Engineer firm to provide independent technical oversight, construction administration, and commissioning services for a non-interactive architectural water feature as part of the Precursors - We Are Texas, East Mall Phase I renovation. Five attendees from four companies registered for the mandatory presubmittal meeting: Bryan Had and Chris Robinson from Fountain People (Regional Sales Engineer and Director of Design & Pre-Construction, respectively), Jeff Higgins and Daniel Sanford from inControl Water Systems (Estimator and title not fully listed), and Olivia Brevett from HVJ Associates (Business Development/Marketing Coordinator). Qualifications submissions were due by June 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST, with short-listed firms to be notified approximately June 26, 2026, interviews conducted between June 29-July 3, 2026, and contract award anticipated by July 27, 2026.
The water feature project, with an estimated construction cost of approximately $4,000,000, involves complex systems including arching/vertical nozzles, lighting, perimeter weir overflow, VFD-controlled pumps, automated PLC/DMX control systems, UV sterilization, and filtration infrastructure. Respondents were required to demonstrate a minimum of ten years of experience in water feature work and submit a completed VetHUB Subcontracting Plan demonstrating good faith efforts toward subcontracting opportunities. Professional liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per claim and $2,000,000 aggregate was mandatory, along with compliance with all Texas representations and certifications, non-delinquency on franchise taxes, and disclosure of any pending litigation or malpractice claims from the past five years.
