About this file
This is a vendor information document issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) that provides guidance for submitting solicitation responses through the DPS Online Bid Room. The document outlines a two-step registration process for vendors seeking to participate in state procurement opportunities. Vendors must first register at the DPS Online Bid Room portal to obtain login credentials, with registration processing taking up to two business days. Once registered, vendors gain access to review solicitation opportunities and submit responses electronically. The document emphasizes that vendors must allow sufficient time for the registration process to meet response deadlines, as late submissions are not accepted regardless of technical difficulties encountered.
The document specifies that use of the DPS Online Bid Room is optional and that all electronic submissions are subject to the same terms, conditions, and solicitation requirements as other submission methods. Vendors receive submission confirmation through the system upon successful electronic filing, eliminating the need for additional receipt confirmation. The document directs vendors to review the complete solicitation package, including all exhibits, and to contact the identified DPS point of contact with any questions. Supporting resources including an online bid room vendor tutorial, user guide, frequently asked questions, and technical support contact information are provided to assist vendors in navigating the submission process.
