The solicitation seeks a single equipment unit designed to support flood and high tide water removal operations on roadways in the Corpus Christi District. The system must deliver up to 1,525 gallons per minute with a 4-inch diameter suction and discharge, operate with a total discharge head (TDH) range of 5-20 feet (recommended at 15 feet), and include a stainless steel impeller and wet parts to resist corrosion from salt water exposure. The solicitation opened on March 18, 2026, with a question submission deadline of March 26, 2026, and responses posted by March 27, 2026. The bid closing date is April 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time, with a tentative contract award date of April 6, 2026. The successful vendor must deliver the completely assembled and operational equipment to 1701 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78416, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and complete installation, calibration, and certification within 30 days of delivery at no additional cost.
Pricing must be submitted on a firm, fixed-price, all-inclusive basis F.O.B. destination with freight prepaid. The solicitation contains no set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, HUB subcontracting plans, performance bonds, or insurance requirements; however, TxDOT has established multiple preference categories for Texas-produced products, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, environmentally sensitive materials, energy-efficient products, and suppliers meeting air quality standards. No incumbent vendor is identified. Award will be made based on best value considering lowest price and ability to meet specifications. The vendor must also provide factory-trained technician instruction for up to six TxDOT personnel for a minimum of four hours covering safety, operation, and preventive maintenance, along with complete operational and service manuals in English and a minimum 12-month warranty. Payment will be made within 30 days after acceptance inspection is completed and all installation and training services are verified.

Solicitation Title: Purchase of a Trailer Mounted Centrifugal
Water Pump for the Corpus Christi District
Date: 3-27-2026
Question Answer
1. Question: What is the expected total discharge height (TDH)? Are there any specific pressure requirements?
Expected TDH Range: 5-20 Feet. The recommended range for TDH is 15 Feet. This will cover the 50-100 Foot discharge length, friction, and minor elevation differences. There are no specific pressure requirements, we will be pumping at low to medium rpms but need higher capabilities.
2. Question: Also is see you are asking for a stainless impeller, will the pump be in corrosive material where the impeller needs to be stainless? If so does the entire pump end (wet parts) need to be in stainless?
Yes, the impeller and wet parts need to be stainless to prohibit corrosion from salt water.
