About this file

This is an Addendum #1 notification for a competitive Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Corpus Christi District for the procurement of a single trailer-mounted centrifugal diesel-powered water pump system (Solicitation No. 601320000069253). The equipment is designed to support flood and high tide water removal operations on roadways in the Corpus Christi District. The system must deliver up to 1,525 gallons per minute with a 4-inch diameter suction and discharge, be mounted on a trailer not exceeding 5,000 pounds and 8 feet in width, and be equipped with LED lighting, electric brakes with emergency breakaway system, and safety chains. The solicitation opened on March 18, 2026, with a question submission deadline of March 26, 2026, TxDOT's response to questions posted by March 30, 2026, and a bid closing date of April 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time. The tentative contract award date is April 6, 2026. The successful vendor must deliver the completely assembled, adjusted, and operational equipment to 1701 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78416, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and complete installation, calibration, and certification within 30 days of delivery at no additional cost.

All pricing must be submitted on a firm, fixed-price, all-inclusive basis F.O.B. destination with freight prepaid and allowed, with payment made within 30 days after acceptance inspection and verification of installation and training services. The solicitation contains no set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, HUB subcontracting plans, performance bonds, or insurance requirements; however, TxDOT has established multiple preference categories for qualifying bidders, including preferences for Texas-produced products, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, environmentally sensitive materials, energy-efficient products, and air quality standards compliance. Award will be made to the vendor providing the best value based on lowest price and ability to meet TxDOT Specification #720-15-69253. The vendor must provide factory-trained technician instruction for up to six TxDOT personnel on safety, operation, and preventive maintenance for a minimum of four hours, complete operational and service manuals with illustrated parts lists in English, and a minimum 12-month warranty. Prospective bidders must register through the Euna Procurement website and may contact Paul Brawn, CTCD, at Paul.brawn@txdot.gov or 325-203-2839 for solicitation inquiries. USE OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING CODE

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) uses the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc., (NIGP) code to standardize purchases by conforming to the class, item, and group structure of the code. The NIGP code is used to select vendors for our master vendor file from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL).

New suppliers and other vendors wishing to furnish materials, equipment, supplies and services to TxDOT should apply to be on the CMBL to receive bidding opportunities.

Existing TxDOT vendors need only be concerned that the information listed on the CMBL file is correct, and that the applicable NIGP class and item are selected for those you can provide.

CMBL information is available online at: https://comptroller.texas.gov/purchasing/vendor/cmbl/ or by phoning 512-463-3459.
