About this file

This is a vendor information exhibit for the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Online Bid Room, providing guidance for vendors submitting responses to state solicitations through an electronic platform. The document outlines the optional use of the DPS Online Bid Room as a submission method for solicitation responses, emphasizing that vendors must adhere to all requirements specified in the solicitation package regardless of submission method. Vendors are instructed to review the complete solicitation package, including all exhibits, before submitting responses by the stated due date and time. The document does not identify specific products, services, quantities, response dates, site visits, or award information, as it serves as an instructional guide rather than a solicitation announcement.

The document provides a two-step registration and access process for vendors: Step 1 requires registration at the Texas DPS vendor management portal, which may take up to two business days for credential issuance, and Step 2involves logging into the system to review opportunities and submit responses electronically. The document includes contact information for vendor support and directs users to supplementary resources including an online tutorial, vendor user guide, and frequently asked questions. Notably, the document disclaims that technical difficulties with the optional online submission system do not constitute grounds for protesting contract awards, and it specifies that late submissions are not accepted. Vendors receiving submission confirmation through the DPS Online Bid Room need not provide additional receipt confirmation.
