About this file

This is Amendment No. 1 to Bid No. IW244419, issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Contracts and Procurement Department. The amendment provides clarifications to bidders regarding the scope of work for HVAC equipment replacement and installation. The project requires the replacement of one 30-ton air handling unit (AHU) and twelve variable air volume (VAV) boxes as detailed in the project specifications. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this amendment in their bid submission, or their bid may not receive consideration. The bid opening date is scheduled for March 25, 2026.

The amendment clarifies four key project requirements: no site visit will be provided for this solicitation, vendors are expected to supply VAV boxes as specified in section 01 00 00.10 of the project specifications (items 1.1, 1.4, 1.12, and 1.13), the 30-ton unit will be mounted on a concrete pad that may require repair or enlargement, and hinged access panels are required on the unit as standard features of the basis of design AHU. The full scope of work is detailed on pages 7-8 of the specifications under section 01 00 00.10 – Project Specific Requirements – Vendor.
