About this file

This is a vendor information exhibit from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) explaining the DPS Online Bid Room submission process for state and local contract solicitations. The document provides guidance for vendors interested in submitting responses to solicitation opportunities, specifically related to a Custom PT Uniforms & Water Bottle procurement. The file outlines a two-step registration process requiring vendors to first register at the DPS Online Bid Room portal to obtain login credentials, which can take up to two business days, and then submit solicitation responses electronically through the system. Vendors are advised to allow sufficient time for the registration process to meet response deadlines, as late submissions are not accepted. The solicitation response must be submitted in the form and manner specified in the solicitation package by the identified due date and time.

The document emphasizes that use of the DPS Online Bid Room is optional and subject to all terms, conditions, and requirements outlined in the solicitation package. Technical difficulties or issues related to the optional electronic submission system do not constitute grounds for protesting a contract award. Vendors are directed to consult the solicitation package point of contact for any questions regarding the procurement and are provided with access to vendor resources including a tutorial, user guide, frequently asked questions, and technical support contact information. Submission confirmation is provided automatically through the DPS Online Bid Room system upon successful submission, eliminating the need for additional receipt confirmation.
